Still lacking quality but at least a bit of battling from the side, which is the least you'd expect in this game.
Hard not to laugh at Cawley's reaction on commentary when Twardek messed up a simple pass to Wilson on the counter attack. |

A lack of quality at times again when we were in good positions but at least there was some urgency in closing down the opposition and getting the ball forward.
Bar one shanked clearance, that was Feely's best game for us. For all the stick he gets from fans and his own players (the Scots especially), he was the one pushing everyone along all game and applauding clearances, etc. Something which this team lacks. Clarke and Varian were very good too. Varian won some amount of headers and did well with limited service, just needs to get into scoring positions and do less outside the box if he wants to play up front. Will take that as a parting gift from Burt, brilliant goal.

Fair play to whoevers decision it was to let the rovers fans out at the same time as the bohs fans. Spot of trouble at doyles corner. One garda in particular was over the top with the batton drawn trying to arrest anything with a pulse

Agreed, I think it's funny we sacked Long while still in the cup and before Rovers. I wonder was there interviews conducted with the players about their confidence in Long and the majority had had enough. We caught Rovers at a decent time too with all their fixture congestion however a win is a win is a win. Delighted for Pender. It was risky for him to take the caretaker job coming in to Rovers but he got an immediate reaction. I don't think he's in any way qualified to manage Bohs but he's a Bohs legend and someone the club desperately needs around. You can see the immediate bounce from the players with him in charge. Hope he sticks around for a long time. |

When a new manager comes in, there's more chance of Detser being on the coaching staff than Croly.

We had the fighting spirit alright and probably caught them at a good time
I cant see a problem with Pender as long as He can get the results. Lets just see how He gets on up in derry on friday. Thats a different kettle of fish altogether
