Seems like only yesterday that Hogan was the next Robbie Keane and there was much agonising over whether he would choose Ireland over England when he had finished concentrating on his club career.

That’s good. Is Crowley injured or just out of favour for the last while

He's a hard player to figure out. Looked a real prospect.

Agree with that... seems to go on the odd scoring run of games and then nothing.

Very streaky player. Might well go on one of his goal scoring runs now. No harm for us to consider him if he does. But he doesn't seem to deliver consistently over the course of a season.

7 league goals for the season now. For comparison, Euro 21-qualified Scotland's first-choice striker Lyndon Dykes has scored 5 for QPR.
Another goal for James Collins today, too.

Hogan could score 20 goals this season. He'll still never be an International level striker.

In the short term we have to give Robinson a fair shot at the position I think. 31 goals in three seasons at Preston showed decent consistency at that level and, while he hasn't excelled, he hasn't looked out of place in the Premier League either.
He has more to his game than just goalscoring as well, to be fair. He's the nearest replacement to McGoldrick that we have available right now.

can’t help but get the feeling that if he had have scored that chance against Turkey it would have been so different

Has he been picked for a Kenny squad yet? It seems like he was that player who is by-passed when a new regime was installed.
