Even if he was holding out for England, which I don't think he was, why would people care?? I couldn't give a sh*t who he held out for as long as he declares and gives his all for us.
He said to O'Neill he needs a bit of time to concentrate on club football after being out for so long. He took that time and then declared for us. What would people want him to do differently? (Not that it matters) I will welcome him with open arms and anyone who doesn't is in my opinion a gobsh*te who must walk around looking for things to complain about. WELCOME SCOTT HOGAN

Can we lose the "Hulk" bit from the title of this thread. If the OP is older than 11, its embarrassing as f**k

Rhyme with what? It's because of the wrestler surely. Although reading some posts on here the fact that it rhymes with sulk seems appropriate..... |

He's 5ft 11 but hardly Hulk-like. Just a nickname from his pre-Villa days. Edited by AVFCAnne - 21 Aug 2017 at 10:24am |

The more the Merrier.
A good age as well 8 good years ahead of him if he keeps fit. If he gave us 20 goals over those years wouldn't it be fabulous regardless if he made us wait a while. You never know his first could be a vital one over the next 6 months. |

Meanwhile, as someone who's actually seen SH play, I'd say he's already a very good player who if fit, would walk into the ROI side against any current contender. More to the point, if he can find the solution to his injury record, he could develop into a truly excellent player. * - Who knew it was possible to smile wryly through gritted teeth? |

It wouldn't take much to walk into our side if you're a natural goalscorer. I'd even take that bollocks Lafferty As much as it is unexpectedly welcome he's declared for us, It looks to be an injury prone career both at club and international level tbh so he could be an asset in years to come but not in a consistent sense.
