I was simply asking a question. Anyone know the answer?

If you keep bringing up Lance Armstrong, then what's the point of testing at all?
And if that's the case, then why are we concerned that only 75% of all EFL players have been tested?

How often are the Dundalk players tested (if at all)?

Because testing does catch some cheats, the problem is football clubs have so much money they are miles ahead of the anti-doping authorities

You appear to know the ins and outs of Man City but have no idea about your own club.

Nothing to see there I suppose?

This is EFL though. Would Bury, Forest Green and Crawley for example, have loads of money and be away ahead of the authorities?

The ins and out of Man City and their twice failed a drugs test manager are much more publicised.

I'm sure a google search would show some information on testing/lack of testing in Irish football. I wouldn't be one bit surprised if they were doping here, infact it's probably more likely here due the the small salaries available, players need to do the best they can just to get a half decent wage here.

The first time I have seen an anti-doping team was at the Crown on Saturday. They waited for the final half-hour. I guess the layout of the ground  made them more noticeable as they were standing in plain sight.

Would be interesting to see the testing figures for them, If they don't test half the EPL I doubt they do much testing on those teams

The article says they didn't test a quarter of EFL players, so three-quarters were tested.

So if they can't be bothered to test all of the richest league in the world, do you think they are bothered about testing the lower leagues much?

The EFL is the championship, league one and league two. 75% of these players are tested, as the article DM posted states.
I haven't seen any numbers for EPL players tested? Nor how many players in English football overall who were tested were positive, hence why I've asked that question a few times now.

72 clubs in the English League, with 28% of them in the premierleague. Even if they tested every single premier league player, the maths indicates that they do test at the lower leagues.

Paul Stewart said that in the years he was addicted to cocaine while playing, he was never tested once.

It was random and not rota and his name never came out of the hat.

He actually wanted to be tested because it would have made him wake up and sort himself out.

Coke leaves your system after 3 days apparently.

I've heard from a relative of an Irish player in the lower leagues that the players would be doing coke a lot.

Perhaps it's just a lack of resource thing.

Up until I left Sunderland AFC in September I had to meet and greet the anti-doping officials once every fortnight or so, a convoy of them in 4/5 fancy cars, they said to me while waiting they'd drive from London to Sunderland on the day.

I imagine there will be more than 1 team but perhaps the fact due to lack of resources they struggle to get to all 72 EFL clubs?
