yeah Sarah could well be the last piece of the jigsaw that Vera hinted at alright....it could also be a seriously intriguing WNL season with all the new faces and transfers......

If she manages to make the squad then she’s either an unbelievably gifted player, or the squad is a lot weaker than we think.

She already has a senior cap to her name and played extensively at under age level for us. Not like shes just giving this a go for the craic, the pedegree is there. She has gone on to be an elite athletie in Aussie Rules and GAA.  Think you're massively underestimating her. I think she's going be one of the upper etchilon of players in the league. Whether that's enough to go the World Cup, we'll see

Hopefully it's just a painful injury, rather than a serious one. I'd have been even more worried if they'd had to stretcher her off.

Seems it's a bruised bone, very similar to the injury suffered by Evan Ferguson for Brighton recently. Looks like she will be back very soon anyway.

The Finnegan girl from Everton must have decided against. I think Stapleton may be the best long term prospect between herself Larkin and Molloy. She probably won't make the plane to Oz due to cb being the strong point of our team. I Don't see it with Larkin being in the senior squad constantly, she should be standing out a mile in the domestic league

I know that but she hasn’t been selected for the last few. Getting blanked for the likes of the Aussie girl when she is the future of this team

Vera has an interesting strategy when it comes to friendlies - says she is mostly interested in playing superior opposition, as it tests the team more. She says she doesn't even care if it means that the team might take a hammering (as in the forthcoming two games against the US for example) just as long as the team are learning from the experience.

She likes to play with a very defensive setup (not that there's necessarily anything wrong with that). No better team to test it against than the US.

Great goal from Katie McCabe to put Arsenal 2-1 up against Man City
Eamonn Dunphy:"I'll tell you who wrote it, Rod Liddle, he's the guy who ran away and left his wife for a young one".
