Huge win for the team - shows that the performance against Sweden the other night was no fluke.

That was fantastic to watch and a brilliant win. Both our goals were high quality. I know the Finns had lots more possession than we had, but we defended brilliantly and the work rate all over the pitch was excellent. I was thinking after their equaliser could we hold on for the draw, but fair play to the girls for hitting straight back through o'Sullivan (after a great cross from Payne). It's only 2 games played but it puts us in a good position for a play off spot. Hopefully full houses in Tallaght for the home qualifiers next month.

This team is definitely going places. Beat Australia last month and now Finland and could well have drawn against Sweden. Still a long way to go of course but we look like we have the quality for a top 2 finish.

great result and very good game. Last home group game will be at home to Finland - would be great for them if it was at the Aviva. Not impossible if interest grows.

Nah sold out Tallaght stadium would be far better atmosphere, should be 10.5k capacity by then too with the completion of the 4th stand.

Size of the Aviva pitch would be a big disadvantage too.

Whats the size difference between the Olympic Stadium in Helsinki and the Aviva?

106 x 68m vs 105 x 68m supposedly.

Think thought Tallaght was closer to the minimum size of 100 x 64m but its supposed to be the same as the Aviva.

I just recalled Pauw going on about it last year where they made it narrower

Helsinki Olympic Stadium is surrounded by a running track, so that might be giving the impression it's a bigger pitch than it actually is.

If we were to make the play offs, it's quite possible they could move it to the Aviva given the potential fan interest (I don't buy at all that this team would be disadvantaged by an Aviva tie.....they showed they could win and play well tonight with virtually not a single Irish fan in sight).

Great chance to sell out tallaght for the Slovakia game. Be nice if we could recreate the 114 atmosphere behind the goal in tallaght.
time is the stuff that life is made of, don't waste it.
