Finishes 3-0. Ireland won the second half 0-0 with a much better performance. Pity they didnt sneak a goal at the end

Thats a pretty ok result considering how strong the Germans are. Away match in Ukraine will decide qualification. Seems to be a great unity in irish squad since Vera Pauw took charge.

They were much better in the second half and tried to take the game to the Germans, even though they were still the better side.

Interesting to hear Pauw say that none of the team had ever played Germany before and this was a valuable learning curve.

Not much chatter on here, but the women are playing one of the biggest games in their history tomorrow against Ukraine. A draw gaurentees them a play off. A win keeps them in the hunt for one of the 3 best 2nd placed teams which is automatic qualification.

We seem to have a lot of players playing at a decent level at moment so fingers crossed we can get a decent result.

If you are to believe the rumours is that some of the Ukrainian squad have been hit by positive covid tests
time is the stuff that life is made of, don't waste it.

How was that not a 2nd yellow for the peno? 2 footed challenge from behind. We really should be ahead here

There's something very familiar about this...creating a heap of chances but unable to put the ball in the net. Concede the softest goal possible

Just unbelievable stuff, what is it about Irish sides when it comes to getting over the line that they just can’t seem to score.
Just because it's tradition does not make it right

So frustrating to watch. Zero composure in the opposition penalty box.

Where have I seen this before?
