Trying to draw some positives - playing against teams of that calibre should improve the team and will be a great learning experience for the younger and newer players in the squad.

Eileen Gleeson must look at Kenny and think lucky bastard 😀

I just read there that the top 3 teams in each other group are ranked:

A1:  7, 14, 16
A2:  1, 13, 18
A4:  6, 17, 15

Well if they go in the playoffs either way then it’s not as bad.

At least the playoffs will be easier but you could sneak 2nd if everyone takes points off each other

I wouldn't say I'm that optimistic, but we got a draw against Sweden in the World cup qualifying group and had a close defeat. The England matches are a very big occasion and a great opportunity for players to perform against an "old enemy". France beat us 3 nil before the world cup, but maybe we're owed something against them this time? Big smile It's a totally new level, but I'm excited to see what happens. Hope the Aviva host most/all the matches

A very good point. It's gonna be six competitive games against three of the best women's teams in the World. Which should be a good experience for the younger and newer players.

We're guaranteed a play off spot and the calibre of teams we can play in the playoff will be around our level or weaker.

I imagine the England game will be at the Aviva? They could fill the place with no difficulty there.

How the hell did we end up in a group with three top tier teams? That shouldn't even be possible....it would be like the men's team being drawn in a qualifying group with NL, Spain and Italy.
It’s a Nations League. This is being used as Qualifers. Were guaranteed a Play off as Group B Winners.

I'd say British TV (ITV or whatever) would want to show the Dublin game live and would much prefer the Aviva over Tallaght.
