Hi
Looking to get from Bordeaux to Biarritz airport for the 09:25 flight to Dublin on the 20th Cannot get a train or bus early enough. I did find a private coach but €320 max 8 in the bus Wondering if I could hitch a lift with some people making the same flight, will of course pay? Cheers Ciaran |

So the Paris train to St Jean doesnt even get us all the way to Bordeaux? Christ, we are only due to St Jean at 23.38. So at least another hour onto that? Gonna be one long ass day
Also, where would I look at for strike info and if the Paris to St Jean train is affected?

Thanks for the help. I looked that bus up previously but if I remember correctly it takes me to the train station and I would need to get a tram to the area near my hotel. I am based in Hotel de l'Opera in the city centre.

Info from Welsh fan re their Saturday experience
-------------- Re Driving Follow the Euro 2016 parking signs which lead you to take junction 6 off the ringroad (A630). Don't take J4 or J5 as seems the obvious thing to do when driving from the North. You'll think it's taking you miles out of your way, but you end up at the massive, free stadium car park. It was half empty on Saturday. Ignore the Park and Ride. ---------------- and We parked at "Les Aubiers" tram station - park and ride spaces for about 300 cars which was half empty even straight after the game. €4.50 for parking and return ticket to the ground which covered up to 5 people, and was only 10 minutes each way. Plenty of trams lined up after the game, was on the motorway within 30 minutes of full time. Saw quite a few Welsh fans do the same. -------------- I agree, car parking around the stadium was huge. If you get there early (3-4 hours before KO), you can then nip in and out of town quickly on the trams. Good atmosphere on the trams too. Not much to do around the stadium, so plenty of fans going both ways..! ---------------- The best thing you can do mate is avoid all the "official" advice about flamboyant flags and size of flags and stadium car park being closed. Load of bullsh*t mate. Go early park in the free loads of spaces stadium car park and if you wish get a tram into town and back. Lot of scaremongering on here from certain quarters I can't mention any organisations or I will be castigated again. ---------------- |

Hi guys ! My name's Félix, i'm a french reporter working for TELEFOOT, a show about football's actuality on TF1, the first french TV channel. I'm actually looking for an irish fan association to follow them all the way to Bordeaux from Paris. I would shoot with my cameraguy to broadcast this on the next show, sunday morning. Could you give me the phone number of someone in charge of an association if such a person exists ? Thanks a lot :) Félix

For anyone staying in Hotel F1 Bordeaux sud Villenave d'Ornon, can you post up here what the place is like?I'm arriving on Friday but I know there's a few off here arriving earlier. Just need to know if I'll need to bring towels, jacks roll etc and what the general state of the place is like and how easy/difficult it is to get into the City Centre.

On that flight aswell Friday evening, staying in Lormont for the weekend. Can get a tram there but seems like alot of hassle at that hour of the night. Might just go to town aswell if there is room for one more in that taxi and dump the bags with one of the lads in town.

Staying in Villenave d'ornon area as well. seems to be a train station there. 7mins on TGV to city centre according to voyages sncf. not sure if this train is affected by rail strike. seems to be a supermarket Géant Casino ( not a casino :-) ) nearby as well.
