They've been toothless for the past year, and losing seats in their hundreds and hundreds since Obama was first elected, but the left the hard left and the leftovers will have to do a bit more than retain a few easy seats, before we can say the blue wall (with all it's pre-determined "220 votes"
) is back. |

The mid terms next year will tell the story. Personally I reckon that Dodgy Donnie could well do a DUP and with all the sh*te he has been talking the Democrat electorate will be energized much like Nationalists were in the north in the last assembly election. One of the houses will fall back into democratic hands. Then it will be red tape all the way. Until then they will tie him up in court cases, investigations and smaller elections like Tuesday night.

They have lost pretty much every election since last November. This week they won a few seats in solid blue states they would have to field a complete numbskull candidate to lose, e.g. De Blasio will never lose NJ. Next year, everyone in America will be voting and everything will probably be back to normal. The lefties haven't won one of the houses in years, and over 85% of Trump voters said this week they are prepared to vote for him/Republican the next time, so that's the challenge that the left have to try and persuade. |

Well the Democrats have never done particularly well historically in the House of Representatives but they had control of the Senate in 2012 although overtaken by the Republicans in the last two elections. I can see the Senate falling back into the Democrats hands. It is quite something that Trump got 3 million less votes than Clinton but won almost all the key swing states. I would be amazed if that happened again. She was so toxic it was unreal. Still cant believe they nominated her.
