Much needed win tonight. We hung on a bit in the last few minutes but otherwise Pats were the better side. The change to a back four and picking a normal goalkeeper made a huge difference

Had to watch on LOITV.
Pats not good enough. Shels shaded it probably but they were very lucky to have 11 men on the pitch. Coyle should have been sent off before half time. The game was reasonably even at that point. Shels started the second half much the better. Both their goals, great finishes, were absolutely signposted. Jarvis had Freeman on toast. Jarvis took both goals very well but the amount of space given to him was criminal.
Pats huffed and puffed but didn’t create enough to get anything out of the game.
One step forward last week, two steps back last night.

Freeman’s defending for the 2 goals and a chance from Smith in the first half was absolutely brutal. Nowhere near close enough to Jarvis. The 2nd goal would remind you of that time van Dijk stood with his hands behind his back instead of closing the space down.

Nearly 2 identical goals for Shels.

Absolute helter-skelter stuff from Pats tonight with no control of the midfield.

Never seen them lose so much possession in a game.

The poor start to the league continues.
Wings? They're only the band The Beatles could have been.

Pats were lucky to get away with a point. First half was even enough but we should've buried you in the second half.

Roll on craptown on Monday,

Pats were definitely there for the taking given how open it was. It was like a pinball machine tbh.

Drogheda had their chances but Pats had a shot cleared off the line too. I think a draw was a fair result imo.

Well disagree on that so. Turned around to someone at half time and said this has pats 1 nil win all over.

Ended up being disappointed with point at full time.

Disappointed with pats tbh. Thought they'd push on from last year and challenge for title

Big win for Pats and Daly. Really think he needed a win against Rovers. I was impressed by the resilience shown by the team given how poor the start was. They had to hang in there for a while when the score was at 1 nil. The performance improved from the 30th minute onward. Great to see a bit of battle.
Mason Melia is a handful for his age. Incredible that he is able to mix it with the Rovers centre halves given their physiques.

One of the best wins in a long time cup final aside especially coming back from a losing position. Nice to get one over Rovers. Clap

Diving coont for their penalty appeal and went down way too easily. He'd have probably scored if he stayed on his feet.

How on earth was Cleary booked when he clearly got kicked by Nolan at the edge of the box LOL

The table is looking a hell of a lot better after the two wins this week.
