I dont mind coffee.

I dont mind seeing people drinking coffee.

Its the people that announce it every day that "I need to have a coffee" and come back with their 4 Euro coffee in a branded  styrofoam cup all happy with themselves.

Ddi people drink coffee much in the 1980's?  I remember there was coffee and tea shops but tea was more popular and people didnt go around obsessing about coffee and you would never see those take away cups.  People had flasks.

Marketing is better than the product.

If you asked for a take away coffee before 1998 in Dublin you’d be laughed at.

I agree with this. I don't mind a coffee every now and again, but this bizarre trend of carrying a branded cup around like it is a badge of identity is very, very odd.
Also, this 'needing' a coffee bollocks. If you need a coffee to get through the day you have a problem and need help.
