Late Late toy show was great tonight. Really brilliant kids on it. Don’t remember much about toys on it at all. The kid Adam at the end was the nicest kid you can imagine.
Raised over €5M for charity as well.

I can’t stand Tubridy but must admit he’s brilliant with the kids on the toy show. That said I turned it off when the Proclaimers story started on bbc4

I was in the States at the time , I remember watching it on some Mexican channel as I don't recall the English speaking networks having much football on - plus I don't think the US qualified in 86 so there wasn't much mainstream interest

I agree tho, Wijnaldum, Henderson and one other was the perfect midfield for them, this unbalances it when a new lad tried to take control of the place. He's now played 8 with Liverpool, won 2 (one of those was the Vilal youth team), 3 draws, 3 losses, and failed to score in 4 of those games. Not all his fault, but there must be a temptation for Klopp to drop him to get back to last seasons ways.

I never found Paul Whitehouse funny. Only seen bits of the fast show and Harry Enfield (who's worse) and chums but just don't find him funny.

He looked good for a 5-10 minute spell today when united were sitting back and Liverpool had all the ball Besides that the game seemed to pass him by

Neither of the shows have aged very well, although 'Harry Enfield and Chums' certainly aged the better. He is undoubtedly a funny man though! Humour is subjective, but he made me laugh a lot when fishing with Mortimer; albeit he wasn't as funny as his companion!

One for the Metal heads. I preferred Anthrax's output when John Bush was singer...Sound of White Noise and We've Come for you All are as good as anything Joey Belladonna put out as singer!

Bush is an extraordinary talent. Its funny, because Belladonna, as a singer is first class. But Anthrax enjoyed fantastic creativity during the Bush era. I'm not sure where the idea of the 2005 Among The Living Tour came from, but it was always likely to call an end to the 1992-2004 version of Anthrax. In another life, Metallica could have been different had Bush taken the lead singing job after Kill Em All was released. Apparently James Hetfield was concerned with his vocal ability, and that he would have become exclusively the rhythm guitar player, with Bush on vocals. Bush then turned them down. Although unverified, I have heard occasional stories that after John Marshall took over the rhythm guitar duties on a temporary basis in 1986, there was rumours that Marshall would be offered the gig full time, Bush was going to be approached again, and Hetfield would jump behind the drum kit. Naturally, this would have left Lars looking for a new band. I've always doubted this a bit, but a lineup of Bush, Marshall, Hammett, Hetfield and Burton (RIP) could have potentially happened and worked.
