The noise made when you click your fingers isn't actually the noise of your fingers sliding together but the noise of your index finger hitting the tendon to your thumb

But from talking to a good few Nordies on Twitter and reading Tweets from the likes of McClean, Duffy, Frampton, McGinn etc they all seem to use "off" regularly for "of"

Don't know where you got that from. Donegal is the 4th largest county in Ireland, Cavan is the 19th.
