Numbers on a phone key pad are the opposite layout on a PC keypad. So number 1 is top left for phone but bottom left for pc keyboards and calculators.
People are so used to changing between the two that they dont really notice!!

Maybe the thick thread is better for this but I only realised the other day that the nutcracker xmas decoration soldier lads are actual nutcrackers, I always wondered why their mouths moved up and down

I know people in their mid 20s who've never seen Fr. Ted. You'd make a reference and they would look at you with the blank expression. And you would have to explain to them and they'd be ''oh right. I've never seen it''
