Who cares?
For all it's right wing agendas, biased journalists, etc., it's one of the best papers for reporting on the LOI, often reporting on minor games in both divisions. I don't follow GAA, and have only a little interest in Rugby, but it seems to give great coverage to them too. It also employs a lot of Irish staff, much moreso than some of the other 'British' titles that sell in Ireland.
I wouldn't hold this against buying or reading a book about Jack Charlton. In fact, I look forward to you buying me a copy.
Never gonna happen.

PS I dont read The Scum either.

This thread prompted me to dig out my copy of "The legend of Jack Charlton" written by Tom Humphries and first published in 1994, so it doesn't deal with his parting with Ireland after the failed playoff campaign for 1996. It's an excellent book with many memorable photos. Half of it deals with his time with Ireland. Some about his family's footballing dynasty; amongst others, his uncle Jackie Milburn and his brother Bobby and about his playing days with Leeds and very little about England and winning the World Cup in '66.
