Then why does this forum have a separate NI thread?

Is there a thread for any other National Team, never mind one attracting 340 pages of replies and nearly 300k views?

One of the reasons I browse this forum is that it has a wide variety of views on a wide variety of football topics, the majority(?) in the Rest of the World section i.e. non-ROI. And the overwhelming majority of my posts are in this section.

Meanwhile I don't gratuitously call out other posters for being stupid, just the ones who are, well, stupid.

In defending my team, I've most recently made points about eg the make-up of the people employed by the IFA, both on and off the field; about the motivation of players from a Nationalist background who opt for NI; and Dion Charles' social media habits.

All of these were in direct response to some of your fellow ROI fans who first brought them up.

Have you anything to contribute to the debate*?

Or are you determined just to "play the man" come what may?
