Danny back in the reckoning for tonight and Lee will be looked at this morning . This could sell out - should be a hum dinger first V second . A win and we could go on to gap the rest and with Burkey scoring for fun AND Andy the same along with Rory / Danny can we be stopped ???. Not saying we are unstoppable by any measure but we are now a difficult team to get anything out of . This run could get runnier Big smile .

It's such a pity that Byrne is playing at this level. He deserves a bigger stage. Some of the passes he makes are exquisite. Yes you've got to legislate for the level he's playing at, but better strikers than Rory Gaffney would make hay with some of the angles Byrne finds with his passes.

Was a good game, a lot of quality especially from Derry!
Rovers did very well to get the win out of that

Ah they had the extra quality to win the game. Mandriou looked good when he came on. There just missing a top striker to get to the next level esp in Europe. Gaffney is not really an upgrade in Greene. A grafter but not a real finisher. Byrne & Mandriou possible call ups to the next Irish squad?

Game of 4 quarters, Derry won both first half of both halves, Rovers won the second half of both halves. A draw was a fair result.

Gaffney wasn't get much service either. Would think he's better suited to our wide mind.

Subs made the difference, thought Derry were better til then.

Some of Rovers fans seem very entitled, getting on the players backs for minor things, shouting and roaring at them. Most teams be delighted to be where they are. Was a small minority mind.

Bar the last ten minutes of the first half Derry should have been outa sight - but they could not make hay out of numerous chances and football breaks the heart when the heart is not big enough. Super Danny tips in the parried effort from Andy and we get the points . 4 points ahead now the Rovers . Stay strong lads .

Need to keep the results coming now. No slip ups at ucd away or drogheda, we get 6 points from 6 there were laughing as derry have dundalk at home and sligo away, two tricky enough fixtures. Thought the atmosphere there last night was cracking, probably the best all season, south stand was on wheels!LOL

Why do we build stands in this country with no facilities in them. No executive boxes, restaurants, bars etc. You could be making money during games and outside of games with conferences or all sorts. No real imagination or longterm financial planning it seems.

No its still going ahead. Full refurbishment / expansion on the main stands facilities. Think they plan on moving the club store and office spaces over to the new stand to free up space. Not sure exactly but I know the new stand is to include office and retail space.

Tallaght has all that bar executive boxes although the Glenmalure Suite is only accessible to club members and their guests on match days though which is a shame.

A mate brought me along as his guest before, their was complimentary food before the match with a paid bar and you could nip in again at HT for a pint. I didnt stick around but there was a Q&A on with the players and manager afterwards too. Decent little setup.

It is available for hire outside of matches for functions / events / conferences. There always something on there, the council use it a lot.

They could do a lot better though by expanding it and opening it to all fans on match days and the general public outside of that. Our local GAA clubs make a killing on their bars, no reason Rovers couldn't do the same. Or even a small Coffee shop with toilet facilities that could prove popular with people who walk the park. Nothing like that nearby it never mind in it.
