There is absolutely no way will we put in two dud performances on the trot . We are too good for that . The outcome of this tie will depend on how we prepare mentally for the return game . How the gaffer gets the midfield to do its job and that means tracking back to help out our defense. Get everybody right and we have a chance - no doubt about that . We are still in it so everybody in the ground next week has to be heard - we will. IMO the two best goals tonight were scored by Rovers . WAR.

league is between yourselves and pats, who seem uninterested and back to last years form. Third could be anyone’s, there’s 11 points between Dundalk in the playoff spot(!) and Sligo in third. Exciting and nervous weeks lie ahead it seems, for those of us below Dermot Desmond level anyhow!

Poor showing from Rovers again tonight. All bar a 10 minute spell in the first half Rovers never looked like scoring. Howler from Mannus for the goal too. They should be beating these.
