Have they won anything at all? City won all around them at 19s level and nowhere near this level of hype.

Don't think the national leagues have been in place for all of those categories for more than a year or two max. I think so far this year that between the 3 teams they have played 9 games and won them all.

The 19's and 17's have been around since 2015 I think. Maybe even a year earlier? Someone might correct me on that. So I take the point that its early days in these competitions.

Genuine Q though, are the Rovers younger schoolboy teams mopping up all around them? I like what I read about the infrastructure being put in place and looking after the kids but has there been much success to date?

The first 15s league was last year (Short season), the first 17s league was in 2015 but was also a short season. Can't remember when before that the 19s started.
I would argue that the success of Rovers Academy set up should be judged not necessarily in terms of their results on the pitch, but more in terms of what players eventually make it through into the first team.

Surely the point of underage teams is to produce players not win mickey mouse kiddy trophies. The proof of the pudding will be seen in a few years whether it's been a success or not.

Yeah, I'm not doubting that the purpose of a youth set up is to produce good players for the first team but in the mean time the standard barometer for measuring success is by looking at results at their respective levels.

That would be the barometer of the merits of a collective group of players, the point of an underage system is producing individuals.

Bradley has a worse points per game average than Kenny, Croly or Fenlon did.

He has managed 20 league points less than Fenlon did despite being in charge for 2 more games.

He only has 4 league points more than Croly despite managing 7 more games played.

He is being given an easy ride because he has given some young players a chance although they haven't got much of a look in this season. It was a risk giving him the job in the first place and it has not paid off. I do think they are slightly afraid to sack him in case it disrupts the harmony with the "celebrity coaches" like some have said here. If they lose to Limerick surely they won't have a choice. Don't think any Rovers manager in recent times has lost 4 league games on the bounce.
