Byrne was ok. Rovers are really lacking options up front. Greene created 2 of their better chances when he made runs out wide.

Byrne is starting to drop far too deep to be properly influencing the game. No need for him to be picking the ball up from his CB's, O'Neill and McEneff are there to do that for him.

First real disappointing result of the season and lack lustre performance. Shels got their tactics spot on particularly in the second half by allowing Rovers work the ball to Far, getting the full back tight and having a cover player between the full back and right centre back. In the first half when Far was getting free on the left, very few Rovers player were getting into the box and attacking crosses. Burke and Mc showed a serious lack of desire to get into the danger zone and attack the ball. Thought the belated introduction of Gaffney increased the tempo a bit but after he went off it was back to the same and easy for Shels to defend especially with the extra man. If I was a Shels fan or a fan of the chasing pack I'd be disappointed that Sheld didn't have a go for the 3 points when they had the extra man. Rovers were never going to score last night. Byrne as good as he is needs to release the ball quicker although I see his problem in that he is on a totally different wavelength than his team mates in seeing opportunities and is reluctant to play percentage passes. Still not a bad return since the break. Big game in Dalyer today. Bit of pressure on Bohs to win and close the gap and become a contender, a different type of pressure they haven't had before. I expect a draw.

What's with all the hostility ? You should be enjoying the season for lot are having instead of giving it the big one. Know your place !!! Which of your players will be moving to Tallaght next season to continue your great tradition as our feeder club ?

Looks like a Dundalk capitulation but only on paper . Hooban missed a pen in Sligo and I hear they played well too . They are champions and too good a team to throw in the towel . They will gather themselves for the run in . So Rovers / bohs to sprint to the line with Dundalk playing catch up . Who has the steel lads ??.
