Think that was 1 million contract for masterson not a fee . Anyway Rovers are the ones paying for Bazunus education. There were rumours last week that it was celtic , haven't heard the Liverpool one before. From what I hear he doesn't want to go anywhere until he has at least done his Leaving Cert anyway.

Schooling at Ashfield College who have a link with Rovers. So I’d doubt that any PL club is paying for it

Hopefully he stays here a bit longer than that, would be better for him to stick around playing competitive first team football instead of stuck in some academy and reserve team until he's 23. Like if he plays Thursday night then he'll have played the same amount of senior games as Kieran O'Hara whose 22 and the current u21s keeper. While Rovers are helping him with his secondary education the FAI should consider setting something up like scholarships for young players who show promise in the LOI to try keep them at home between the years of 19 to 21, the important years that young players should be gaining competitive experience rather than playing reserve team football.
Hopefully he's got his heart set on Ireland because if Nigeria get a sniff that he's undecided about his international future they won't think twice about trying to cap him at a young age to tie him to them.

Seams like every premiership club is interested in Bazunu, man city and newcastle scouts watched him on Thursday.

Any reason why Bazunu hasn't started the past two games? Seemed to be in good form.

Yeah picked up an injury during the AIK game. He'll have to wait to get back in the team now as I can't see Mannus being dropped anytime soon.
On a good run now, 4 wins and a draw in the last 5 games with 5 clean sheets.

The worst thing from a neutrals point of view is that Rovers were probably the only team that could have prevented either Dundalk or Cork City winning it, I hope City and Dundalk are drawn in an earlier round to prevent a repeat of the previous years finals.
