There is. Galloway is on borrowed time at Westminster, the constituency is due to change boundaries come the general election and the smart money will be on Labour to reclaim it via an uncontroversial candidate. He is a talented carpetbagger who excels at rhetoric and is well versed in Parliamentary procedures. He will certainly make an impact during his tenure, however brief that may be. Neither of the two main parties are going to be happy with his contributions. I have just watched a video of him eulogising some of the worst people on the planet ( Russell Brand, Tucker Carlson, RFK jnr, Lauren Boebert ) and have to say it was truly unhinged. Should be some circus when he gets back in the House of Commons.

doesn't say much for the state of the British left if any of them are cheering on a prick like Galloway just because he's not "establishment"

A lot of the British left are openly critical to him and his agenda. It’s the tankie left that see it as a ‘one-up’ that are celebrating this, and even fluffing their lines around the Nick Griffin endorsement.

Day Two, in the Big Brother House.

One day closer to the dissolution of Parliament, and hopefully one day closer to the end of Galloway’s membership of Parliament.

Just seeing a piece about the UK budget, never knew that if you earned over 60k you had to repay child benefit in a tax repayment

Day three, corporate front man rishi snake and controlled muppet tory starmer agree on a huge package to help with the money laundering operation in Ukraine also freeing up funds to bolster the support of the steamrolling of tents in Gaza

And two people with a combined salary of 119000 could still get it without penalty.

Yeh, definitely favouring the high earning couple once they are both below the threshold. If I was reading it right a couple earning 75k (60+15) would get no benefit child  but anothet couple earning 75 (40+35) would get full child benefit.

Tories going as far as they could in the budget in a futile attempt to get re-elected but leaving labour with a financial mess to tidy up if they don't. Classic outgoing government budget.
