You have labelled Jews, as a group, crafty (and how that could be interpreted as anything but pejorative I don't know) when it comes to money. That is literally a prejudice. On a serious note living in the borough of Barnet it seems that there are lots of middle class liberal centrist jews who would care not for Corbyn and McDonnel simply based on them preaching the gospel of municipal socialism.

The Zionist jews are much like the black power types over here (David Lammy et al) will cry racism/antisemitism if you dare question the actions of Israel or suggest that there is a serious problem over here with predominantly black ultra violent gangs of kids chopping each other up on a regular basis.

JK's comments about Jewish people and their relationship is both crass and a glib generalisation.
What is true is that people from Jewish backgrounds have and had highly influential positions in the financial world and american government financial policy  - Alan Greenspan, Larry Summers, Ben Bernanke, Robert Rubin, Lloyd Blankfein etc.................and dare I say Bernie Madoff.

The holocaust of Cavan men because of the prejudice against them based on the belief they were tight was one of humanity's lowest moments, not to mention the fascist style political parties the world over that demonise those cute Cavan hoors at every possible opportunity and how the descendants of Paddy Kavanagh run all the banks in the world .

The whole “Jews are tight” narrative was ramped up to “Jews control all the money” to “Jews are at fault for all the ills in the world” previously with horrifying consequences resulting in the murder of 6 million people. I can’t remember that happening in Cavan.

Context.

People are right to abhor Israeli foreign policy but it's not right to dump all that on Jews globally.

TBF the jews are crafty with money though he's not lying. It's like saying travellers fight and orangemen are ****s.

Might be anti-semitic or whatever and not PC but not all prejudices are false.

I'm actually amazed by the number of stereotypes that have been thrown around on the thread, which are generalisations. What has to be accepted is that both the fringe left and right have a genuine problem with anti semitism, and that there are factions on both sides that use the issue of Israel to trespass into areas of anti semitism. Usually from the left it is dogwhistle stuff, but it is still there.

The problem for Corbyn is his lacklustre approach in dealing with the issue at a party level, and that was exemplified by the Ken Livingstone issue, where in the end Livingstone himself had to resign from the party, before he was ever expelled, and that was from saying some fairly awful things. Labour's leadership also don't seem to concern itself with the tensions that currently exist between the Jewish community and the party, and that is where Corbyn needs to step up.
