I still think the Daily Mail Telegraph Express Sun etc will do their best to destroy Starmer if he does become PM both in their papers and online.

They don’t have anything like the clout they once had with the decline of newspapers and the rise of social media. Also, they like backing winners-even Murdoch backed Blair when he saw the way the wind was blowing and could do the same eventually with Starmer if he avoids traps and hostages to fortune between now and the election. Could all be irrelevant to some extent as the electorate seems to have made up its mind and the only real debate right now is about the size of the Labour majority.

The right wing press will slaughter Starmer as they did with Foot Kinnock Callaghan and sadly as you say Corbyn. Where as the abysmal Tory leaders get away with it.

Just watched The Big Lie the other day how the PLP and head office shafted Corbyn. Starmer dosent across as a man fit for PM, but then again look at last few incumbents.

Not a response. You worked on the assumption that id lifted my views from an article I never read. Maybe you can return to the original response I posted an actively try to engage and not just repeat Doherty. After all, I can read the document and see the issues in terms of increased funding under a shrunken tax base and the historical problems of doing it that way. But thanks for giving me the win here. Quite magnanimous of you.

Was listening to the today show and they did an analysis of the data on the railways and they showed that the UK rail system is less efficient than the Ukrainian rail system. There is privatism for you.
