I read that yesterday, article in the Herald with a youth developer from Fingal. Said that the FAI had told them they were making contributions on his behalf to the pension however these were not made for an estimated value of €70k. Surely that has to be some kind of fraud

Is this a wind up?

This is the man that refused to answer any questions for the public in April, has since gone to ground and has been vilified in the meantime in the media (and rightly so, the biggest witch hunt I RecallClap), used a tragedy in Denmark last year to excuse him of any knowledge of banners being taken at the stadium, has consistently over recent years cancelled media appointments, has already been found to have not disclosed his remuneration in the financial statements to deceive which was also a Companies Act offense, claimed to take a wage reduction to justify cutting poorly paid FAI staff wages when he was being recompensated with the rent deal. The list goes on and on.

And after all the above bleeds the Association he has brought to its knees of more money through drawn out legal negotiation.

This man has no shame and never will.

Well would the good people within the FAI be out of a job then? I would imagine we would then lose our co ownership on lansdowne road

That's going eventually anyway

Apparently John Delaney Park is being proposed as an alternative venue for home internationals.

This time last year we were on the end of the Nations Cup farce and JD was shaping up for the Euro2020 draw, with the job of vice president of UEFA strongly speculated after the Euros. No doubt he would have been thinking he could be the head of FIFA as well

Let's have some perspective. This is f**king great Approve

Well said. Even though he's milked them the last year he's devastated. Long term he'll make far less money from his career and his reputation is in shatters.

JD was obsessed with celebrity status. He surrounded himself with fanboys who licked his hole for tickets, potential grants and even beer. He doesn't have anything to offer and is no use to anyone anymore. He's actually a pariah. It's going to be nice to continue watching his world falling apart.

Sure there's loads of companies willing to pay him €460k a year for his services. He was turning offers down left, right and centre because of his devotion to football in this country.
I could agree with you but then we'd both be wrong.

Never mind 6 months - give it about 10 years and he'll probably be the Taoiseach! Dead

He sums up the worst of this country. There'll be those with an admiration for him who cant wait to hire him. Sure wasnt he asked to run for election before, but again loved football too much.

Ive said it before and I ll say it again, You wouldnt get away with what he got away with in politics and that is saying something

No chance.

Delaney has enough of his own business interests anyhow to keep him busy. He probably lived off FAI expenses never mind his salary. That's safely tucked away for days like these.

Couldn't see any of the political parties going for him. You need to keep your bib clean until you get elected. He's a beaten docket now.
I could agree with you but then we'd both be wrong.
