question for the legal experts around here.
this whatsapp group that was potentially hacked (was it, wasn't it?) but if it was determined that the group was hacked and the whatsapp group was identified would the participants of that group have the right to legal proceedings against the FAI and Mr McGlue? |

Conway coming out and stating that jobs could be lost is an absolute disgrace while they pay one employee 360k a year and 3k a month in rent while on gardening leave.
anyone have an idea what mcglue is on? say 80 -100k. that is approx half a million between 2 individuals that would probably pay for 10 coaches around the country on 50k per annum. it's an absolute disgrace! if these goons are elected back at the AGM then it's time for an all out ban from games etc.

I think the one thing that has been confirmed is that JD paid for f**k all out of his own pocket. How on earth one individual was allowed to take so much money from the company for personal use is beyond me.

Why would anybody be surprised about this? Irish supporters have been financially backing this regime despite it being clear to everyone what was going on was wrong. Irish supporters will continue to financially back this regime by paying for match tickets, etc so there is no incentive for the fai to change

without been a tech genius here, the chances of the Gardai been able to hack into any whattsap group is far fetched without the help of Facebook - now for a group that might be waving banners and it been illegal then it's beyond ludicrious. So either Jmac was talking sh*te to JD or the garda was - who knows?, but it's safe to say all those dick pics you posted in the group will have remained private |

They'd need a court order to force Facebook to hand over any information as far as I'm aware. They cant just "hack in". They wouldn't be bothered going through the effort for a few banners. I'd be pretty sure he was talking rubbish

McGlue is so deluded that he believes he is providing some kind of secret intelligence service.
Of all FAI staff he should be the next person to be got rid off for his intimidating behaviour towards the most important people - the fans. He was also deeply loyal to Delaney and all he stood for - time to clear out the old guard and move on with people who care about the Irish game. |

As for governance and potential suitors to the new board the governance audit should look a the credit card expenses of all execs from 2010 to 2019.
I heard that a past legal director was forced to pay a massive bar bill (thousands) by company credit card at the Euros and that would have gone under the nose of the Finance Director at that time. The point here is that both are evidently being touted for election to the next board. If it suited them to ignore good governance then, what can they offer now - perhaps a great ability to sanitize the truth??? |

It's been going on for so long but i'm still amazed at the attitude of these guys. Hacking into a private chat between people because they might say the CEO is bad at his job. Only question about it is can it feasibly be done, no morality, legality discussions that we can see. Really do think they are above the law.
