No, but it was her that I was directly and deliberately quoting.

It's well for him putting 160k into FAI while going through divorce proceedings. I'm sure his ex wife and kids could have used what they are due.

Good point. If he is taking the €160k as personal income, he will be taxed on it. If UEFA pays that directly to the FAI, I presume it is treated differently.

Could the €160k be used to pay 'expenses'?

The Sell Outs of 88 have offered the annual membership fees to John in a bid to assist with payment of his legal fees from Saturday.

These good news stories which shows JD in such a positive light.  For a man with such egoistic and narcissistic tendencies who would milk so much out of these acts of generosity, why go to the High Court to stop publication of these good news stories.

i wonder how much the legal fees cost to block this

€50K according to the Sun.

Yeah that's what I was thinking, how does the tax work? If it is paid out to him, I imagine he has to pay income tax. If he gives it to the FAI is it then given as a gift?

My understanding is that you have to pay tax on any income as you earn it. Doesn’t change when you gift the money to someone else. You are liable for income tax in Ireland on income earned abroad if you are based here.  You are also liable in the foreign country you earned it in although you should be able to reclaim some of it so you aren’t double taxed. Therefore any gift is likely to be a lot less than the headline figure when the tax is paid.

A press conference about their own investigations into their governance, that should be interesting
