Richie Sadlier on the late Late tonight

Former Ireland international soccer player turned pundit and psychotherapist Richie Sadlier will tell us why we are failing a generation of young people by not talking openly and honestly about sex. He’ll be telling viewers why he is on a mission to educate teenagers about sex, porn and consent.

Fair play to him. We are(and I mean all of us that went through the education system, no matter what we might think ourselves) incredibly backward in this regard, another thing to thank the Vatican for...

He's a qualified psychotherapist and has a platform. There is probably a better qualified psychotherapist, but he is unlikely to have the same platform.

I can’t imagine any programme involving rashers being interesting, but how was this?  Is there a chance people might realise how repressed we are!?

I have just finished reading 'The Rocky Road', Dunphy's autobiography. You can say what you want about him, but it is very hard not to like him. He comes across as intelligent, funny and sincere, which is odd as he contradicts himself a few times in the book, often on the same page!

It's a great read.

He's a grumpy old man. He falls out with people and then forms opinions to back up his argument. Then he changes his mind!

Lately he seems to be going for shock factor etc for the sake of it. In the past I always thought he really believed what he was saying (for the split second it took him to say it at the least!) but now i think it is more just doing it for the sake of it.

It is hard not to like him. Even when he is ridiculous he is entertaining and I'd say a decent skin behind it all.
It's not me it's you:-)

I thought that was a great read.  It's an interesting social and political commentary on Ireland from the 1950s onwards.

Id say he'd be good craic to have a pint with but would probably end up with you getting f**ked out of a pub over an argument over nothing.

Yes Dunphy practically coined the phrase ‘decentskin’
