Probably a nice ploy to be able to take it off them.

Nice try, but I'm not sure the Qataris would accept a move like that from FIFA. Would they not have already signed contracts to host a 32-team world cup?
Anyone in that part of the world capabale of throwing in a few satdiums? Turkey?
3,000 KM away LOL
.plenty of teams will travel longer than that to play a game in Russia and the longest trip potentially is over 10,000 km so don't think distance would bother FIFA

Are you sure about that? 10,000 km is about the same distance as Dublin to Hong Kong Big smile

I think the furthest trip for Russia would be 3000km - Kaliningrad to Yekaterinburg

Can't copy the link on the phone but Google distances for Russia world cup and it gives them.
I know nothing :-)

So what. NYC to LA is 4,494.5 km and both cities hosted same tournament .
How can a neighbouring country be 3000 KM apart? NYC and LA are in the same country.

This idea came from South America...I doubt very much it'll have much legs and will be consigned to the bin pretty quickly.

Maybe FIFA wanted them to raise it though.

If relations were good the UAE could easily share it.  however that is very unlikely in the current climate.

you're asking the wrong person there chief. All i know is the journalist behind the bild story said not to expect too much.

Wasn't actually asking you directly, was thinking out loud a question that many others were no doubt thinking.

Just seems strange that FIFA were so keen not to publish the report in full in the 1st place if there wasn't anything significant to hide.

So another possible scandal looks to have come and gone.
