You're missing the point I was actually making.
He said "The FAI aren't trying to move it, it's out of their hands in any case" I'm saying the FAI are trying to move it, otherwise it would have been announced already. As I believe the FAI could have accepted this venue and not kicked up a fuss. I'm well aware of the Gib FA getting a pass with the stadium for the Euros and to them nothing has changed and this is the same. Jesus I can't open my mouth on here.

This is nothing to do with the FAI, purely down to UEFA

The Swiss have also objected to the venue.
Delaney shouldn’t have opened his gob about extra tickets until the venue was confirmed as this caused many people including the sc’s to book Flights to Malaga and Gib.

If our game is played in Gibraltar then all their home games will be played there. There are also implications for their next campaign. So the decision does not just apply to this game. The 800 tickets story would imply the FAI were happy with the venue. The fact that the GFA gave the tickets despite selling out their Nations League games would imply they required FAI support. The Swiss won't need anything like 800 tickets. I also suspect the FAI would have preferred a decision some weeks back so they could make plans. A mod on here and a national newspaper had a story the Swiss were unhappy. UEFA are obviously involved. The best guess is that significant improvements need to be made. The GFA were given time and possibly additional time.

Just on the theory that they've been asked to do work I saw a few pictures on Twitter earlier from a game held there last night. Doesn't look like any external work taking place anyway.

Why do so many contributors to this thread treat it as some kind of pi**ing contest.
The guys we meet on Away trips are great. This behavior brings the whole thing down.
