It's really bizarre that her tormenters are of the opposite sex. Girls are just as vicious, if not more so, than boys but bullying of this magnitude generally doesn't cross sexes.

I was thinking the same HH, even by Dublin's low standards it's extreme that 4 men/teenagers would use that much violence. Must be more to the story.

It appears a man with no criminal links is gunned down over an argument at a house party.
Bad week for Ballyfermot

Yeah seems like it was more of a dispute on the night, really shocking. Too many people with access to guns.
Can't help but think that with pubs closing early that more and more house parties are being organised that is then leading to more random people from the pub that wouldn't normally socialize together ending up at the same house party which can be a recipe for disaster. You don't have bouncers to break up the arguments and evict the aggressors

Pubs closing to prevent spread of Covid led to someone shooting someone they had a dispute with? The problem is the access to guns, not where they had the dispute. Surely there'd be more random people in a PUBlic house than a private house

I'm not blaming the covid restrictions for this particular murder but just that due to the current environment that we find ourselves where pubs are closing at 8pm and for many people it's not time to go to bed but even the case that the party is just getting started, it's likely to lead to more people socialising in private settings and potentially with more random people than they would normally socialize with in private settings. Socialising/ drinking with people who you are not particularly friends with often can lead to tension.
Yes pub is definitely even more random people but it is a controlled environment normally with staff/bouncers that sort out arguments. Now I don't know any facts about the case other than what was reported and house parties after pubs are nothing new, my point being they are probably more prevalent and random at the moment and potentially this case might have shades of the above embedded within it

He’s got a point though I wouldn’t bring a gun to a pub, house party is another story.

Watched it. The actions of the so called Gardai destroyed a community and the lives of many people.
The Lynskey's moved away after that. And the sentence for the men who murdered Marty Kerrigan was a joke. 2 or 3 years. Grim viewing. |

How was that even given as manslaughter when they abducted him knowing fully well what they had planned?

Read into it a bit after watching that episode. Their sentence was laughable when you consider he was tortured and they attempted to castrate Kerrigan too, which IIRC wasn't mentioned in the episode.

Local (unconfirmed) reports that 2 kids have been stabbed in Millennium Park beside Blanchardstown SC. Supposedly managed to make his way to the centre before collapsing. Hope, if true, he’s ok.
