Got sent the way of https://www.discounttyres.ie/ in Ballycoolin. Seemingly my car and its year means could have either of the gasses mentioned so need to bring it in for them to check which. So for the service listed in the link, its €99 labour + cost of the gas. My yoke takes 500gr of gas so either €105 or €199Shocked

Driving an Opel Astra ATM and some sh*te about exceeding the selected speed limit keeps coming up on the panel, making a beeping sound whenever I go around 100 km/h. It's doing my nut in. Anyone deal with something like this?

Hated the beeping sound to remind you that you are over limit and still annoys me at times but in general its a plus. Amount of times where  I'd be thinking "this is 60  road" so doing 70 then hear the beep and quickly press 'map' and see that it's only a 50.

Anyone use the fancy petrol. The one that's about 5% more expensive but apparently goes "miles further". Any truth to the claims or is it just marketing guff?

It's just an additive in the fuel, you will probably get more mpg from it, but not enough to offset the increased cost

I used to use Maxol E95 whenever possible when it was available here as was a higher RON. Can't find anything on line to say what RON the Circle K Miles Plus petrol is. I haven't bothered trying it as haven't had a performance car in a few years now and don't think it's worth it in anything else.

200e to replace all 4 glow sticks sound about right?

Got these replaced in Oct for 100e. Light still came on and the engine management system said it was still the glow plug.
Bought a glow plug with pressure sensor for about 80e and the mechanic replaced it (no charge).

He's going to replace the connector now. Not sure of the cost yet.

On most cars this component will not trigger the engine management light.

Any thoughts on this?

So far they've replaced the glow plugs, the glow plug with pressure sensor. There is an electrical fault on the flow plug sensor.
I've had this issue now for nearly 6 months whereby 3 mechanics have taken a look. It's at the stage now where they believe the issue could be with loom plug as it looks damaged, they are trying to get this part but can't, My car now is sitting in a garage for 3 weeks now, as he can't source the parts and another mechanic has been trying to source the parts since Jan and he too has been unsuccessful.

I take the car away and it will be forgotten about.

One option would be to turn off this electrical component within the ECU. Any thoughts on doing this?

Nearly 2 years later, it's gone through 4 mechanics (glow plus replaced twice, glow plug with pressure sensor replaced twice and the engine loom also replaced, electrics checked) and now 1 failed NCT and a lost of well over 1200e it's now currently sitting in autokey ECU specialists, whereby they will repair or replace the ECU or regen the engine.

Either way I am looking at another massive bill.

The car is working 100% LOL

I won't be burning any car.

I am now wondering will Skoka cover any costs if there is less than 100 miles?

680e repair to the ECU.

With that fixed - am I likely to run into more issues along the way?

Do you reckon she ever sells a car?

I can find plenty of videos of her describing her typical day, but no sign of a website selling cars.
