I was at the hurling final and listened to the game on the radio heading up home. it was as you say poor stuff and hard to listen to compared to the high that was the hurling.

as a neutral at the hurling I was loving it, esp. coming from a hurling parish in co Antrim you can appreciate the high levels of skill but I found myself not watching parts of that game on Sunday.

last years semi between Dublin and Kerry was brilliant due to both teams going for it and not playing that boring defensive possession game which has destroyed Gaelic. its a plague on the game but there's nothing that can be done about it. can it be countered? I don't know. Kerry's long ball tactic worked for a time then Donegal swamped the back line to snuff it all out. Did Kerry out think Donegal? IMO they didn't, two poor keeper errors handed them 4 points in a min thus winning them the game.

hell Donegal could of got a draw bar a piece of bad luck in the ball hitting the post!
put em under pressure!

Similar thing happened last year. Dublin were a good bit ahead and cork beat them in the end. Dublin team will be in bits. Serious record by the cork panel 10 all Ireland in the last 12 years or something like that.

In the Galway semi finals Corofin beat Milltown by 24 points. Milltown scored 2 points. They were supposed to be the 2nd best team left in the Championship as well.

Corofin 4-14 Milltown 0-02

in the other semi Barna 12 Michael's 12.
