Isn't his contact up at the end of this campaign?
Pay him his remaining 4 months salary and let him walk. Then give Roy the job and he will walk himself for free out of loyalty to MON every one wins.

O'Neill has an inflated sense of self-importance and of his ability as a manager. The way he talks he thinks he is one of footballs greats as a player and manager. The fact is he is a better tv pundit.

He won't walk. But it would be great to give a new man 4 games before the next tournament.

Is that the former Ireland keeper?

Is it true that Jimmy Magee advised him to call himself Seamus rather than Jim to make himself sound more Irish -played for us through the parentage rule.

Heard Magee saying this a couple of times on Irish football documentaries.

Jimmy claims this, yes.

Dave Langan is your da?

just because he does not have a flash sounding italian name? Nobody knows how competent he is at his job.

If he was Dutch or Italian Trap Junior and Horsebox would be drooling over him.

God help the set piece coach when he comes in having to deal with McGeady

I've no issue with Guppy. I don't know much about him, so I am not sure why your bringing me into it.

I wonder will you be looking for MON and RK to be sacked if they don't text Andy Keogh for not being called in the squad next week?

As far as I can make out Noel King is picking the squadTongue

Quote <span style=": transparent; color: rgb51, 51, 51; font-family: arial; font-size: 14px; line-height: 18px;">O’Neill said: “Yes, it’s correct that Noel is picking the squad.</span><p style="outline: 0px; margin: 0px 0px 8px; padding: 0px; border: 0px; font-size: 14px; vertical-align: line; : transparent; font-family: arial; line-height: 18px; clear: left; color: rgb51, 51, 51;">“I haven’t had a chance to speak to Noel. He would be the one who would be picking that squad and quite rightly so, because he’s been in charge for the last couple of games and he’d know the players.

strange quote that.

As far as Guppy goes I know fook all about him except he played under O'Neill at Leicester and was a bog standard player.

Seamus McDonagh must be around 65 is he not??  Was surprised Kelly wasn't retained. If KEane can make up with Mick and Quinn he can make up with Kelly.

Dunno anything about this lad brother Walfred or whoever he is.

I remember him being poor at Celtic as well. Just looked up his wiki page, can't believe he got an England cap. His only coaching with O'Neill was at Sunderland.

McDonagh's in his early 60's, obvious choice given he was a passionate Irish international and has worked with O'Neill before at Sunderland and maybe Villa?
