Even when Joe is not doing much he is always capable of scoring, I would have left him on. Cliftonville were not switched on at the start of the second half and it cost them two preventable goals but this is a very strong Linfield squad.

Lucky really to get a draw, Glenavon dominated first half and could have had a couple of penalties. Morphing into a mid table team unfortunately

Glenavon were the better team on the night. Their centre forward Danny Purkis changed his surname to that of his partner, incidentally-he was signed from East Belfast but previously played for Glentoran as Danny McKee. Cliftonville off form at the moment, though if Gormley had been 100% fit I would have fancied him to score from the couple of chances he had. Daire O'Connor looks like a flying machine, on the plus side.

Aye, O Connor took goal very well. Think he's just been getting up to speed since joining, expecting big things from him. Hopefully Joe gets back to full fitness soon, we need him 100%.

Good keeper but a strange signing with Richard Brush, one of the best in the league, already there and young Declan Dunne, an excellent prospect , on the bench as his deputy.

McCarey had great potential when he played for us and then signed by Mick for Wolves. Sadly never took the step up. Id have him down as an average to good keeper but nothing special.

Rory Hale, former Ireland under-21 international when he was with Aston Villa, has joined Cliftonville from north Belfast rivals Crusaders. A good player who should strengthen the squad.
