The main problem is the price goes up too quick, load of people buy at the top and get burned when a mass sell off happens.

The crash in 2018 was the same. Interest in it died down but eventually started up again and with Covid and everybody at home it got a second life. 

The fact that it has gone down 50%+ twice in the last 3 years shows how risky it is. It’s not a hedge against inflation and no company / pension fund will touch it with that kind of risk attached to it.

Even though $1tn has been wiped off the value it may be good for the long term if the price becomes more stable

Blockchains will be a massive trend in the next 20 years, the Crypto that powers that will be back. Although I suspect they'll be back a lot slower than we say the past 6 months. The meme cryptos probably won't.

Good times to buy. 

If you are buying when prices are going up at the top and selling when they are going down at a loss, you shouldn't be wasting your money in crypto. 

I will reiterate this again, there are loads of coins you can invest in. I have no idea on most of them, stick to the ones which have the proven track record for the long term investing. 

If you want to throw small amounts on some random coins and hope for some 100x returns knock yourselves out.

GameStop, AMC, dogecoin, Shiba, etc are all terrible investments based on fundamentals but when you have 100M kids at home with money, internet and nothing else to do, these memes are making some people very rich. 

I bought 10M of Shiba last week for about 80. It should go to zero but it could go to $0.01 
I also bought some cumrocket but it’s an absolute pain, you have to go through a few apps and then use pancakeswap to buy it.
