For a man who looks like he is 40 that was his best game for Spurs.
He only signed last Jan and didn’t play loads but has started really well this season.

Spurs will need the whole squad throughout the season because of the lack of transfer activity.

There's alot of anxiety at Spurs in regards to Son who hasn't completed the mandatory military service Koreans have to do. Korean citizens only become exempt to it if they win a major honour in their profession - Which Son has yet to do, which makes the Asian Games he's currently away for the last chance saloon

There won’t be too many teams that go to OT and win 3-0. With all the transfer speculation Spurs did it with their want away players. Said it last week that a Spurs win would be the beginning of the end for Jose!
I could agree with you but then we'd both be wrong.

Have just destroyed Man U at Old Trafford.

It genuinely still amazes me how little respect this Spurs side get. They are a serious football side, totally unlike that rabble they were up against tonight. It would take a miracle imo for this Spurs side not to finish top 4, especially as they seem to be back to using all of their players and not freezing out the likes of Alderweireld and Rose (2 massive playersin the PL). The big question is whether they can go again and put up a serious challenge for the title.

It's no shame if they don't get a title challenge going, I've a feeling myself, they may be a bit off that (Pool game next month will tell a lot about both), but it's the lack of respect this lot get that has grated me for a long time now. People talk of Spurs as if they're the side of 10/20 years ago. It's comical tbh.

Not really. Due to the circumstances you can let off Spurs if they rolled over.

A month's worth of away games, followed by a one-off at Wembley then more aways then they might even have to play their home game against Man City outside of London as the Jags are in town for their NFL stuff.

You can forgive them for being very unsettled in that period.

Oh it's not ideal, no doubt at all. If they had Liverpool in the new WHL the place would be buzzing. It will tell though whether they can challenge the top sides during the rest of the season, not necessarily the result (as important as it is against Liverpool), but the performance. For me they are absolute certainties for the top 4, but games like home vs Liverpool will tell whether they can really kick on again to another level.

Jose very rarely loses at home.
I’d say that was the biggest defeat he has suffered at home in any league!

Too many players not playing at their best.
No chance he will be in charge next season.

How did Fred get on last night?

A “serious” football side would be winning trophies regularly , not aiming for 4th in the league. They are a good team and no more.

I don't think they aim for 4th at all in the PL. I think they've just fallen short of a title challenge or winning the PL a couple of times and finished where they finished then. The same as plenty of other leagues, you can have a serious football team finishing 2nd/3rd in their own league at times.

I would agree on the trophies, they need to be picking some up for this team to be remembered in future the way it is. Tbf, it's not like Pochettino has been at Spurs forever. If he keeps the bones of that team together for 2/3 more years, they will no doubt win trophies and be well up there in the PL also. It's just a matter of holding it all together, as they did very well the summer gone (yet manay many people thought they'd fall apart because they didn't see any massive signings).

From Pot one I’d like Spurs to get one of Barca/Juve or PSG.
Avoid Loko Moscow.

Nobody exciting in Pot three. Would like one of the Dutch teams.
Avoid CSKA Moscow.

Pot 4 has to be Red Star Belgrade.
Avoid Galatasary.

At least one of the matches will be at Wembley.

Son Heung-min avoids military service as South Korea beat Japan 2-1 after extra time in the Asian Games final!
