Mate of mine failed a doping test once upon a time (GAA). Turns out it was something in Berocca Boost that caused the failure. He got a pass

Can't remember his name, he had 2 banned substances, was taking a crapload of supplements. Some he was buying online. When they were all tested, one of them contained one of the banned substances but it was mentioned on the label. He couldn't explain the other substance however other than it was probably contaminated food. 4 year ban and stripped of his title.

Over 40's Irish cycling champions also got a 4 year ban last week.

And colemans ban has been approved and will miss the Olympics if it goes ahead

I think it's more to do with the current sample being tested and it was already tested and it was negative, the more a sample is tampered with the less likely it can be used.

My understanding is that UK athletics WILL release the sample with the enhancement of drug testing.

I could be completely wrong mind.




There's serious questions over him now though, surely releasing it, or him giving permission to release it would clear his name if nothings found (and if he has something to hide, it would suit him even more to do it now rather than to wait for future improvements in testing)
