He is doing very well but I'm pleased he's stayed where he is at the moment. Seems to be really enjoying his football again and last thing he needs now is to be sitting on the bench disrupting his momentum

All he has to do is look at Graham Burke as an example of why he's probably better off in the LoI until the end of this season at least.

Absolutely mental alright, hopefully Judge can get a move to the LOI to prove himself to the fans.

Where does Byrnes season rank when compared to say Towell's wonder season at Dundalk?

He was goal machine that season alright. How many assists did he get that year?

As a Rovers fan, Byrne has been excellent, best player we've had since Gary Twigg (excluding Alan Mannus) and I will have no hesitation voting him player of the year. He hasn't been anyway near what Towell was for Dundalk.

towell was immense that season for dundalk. bryne has probably more impressive in his european games than towell though. towell was playing in a better team also.

Not knocking Jack or the league but a lad involved in LOI shouldn't be involved with Ireland in a crunch qualifier IMO.

Don’t think Byrne will get the kind of space he had for either of last nights goals in an international game. That said if we’re chasing a game he could easily be used as a Wes like substitute in the final half hour

Most players can do something productive given space, likes of Wes made their own space to give themselves opportunity
