I'd rather see him settled with Rovers and lighting up the the LOI and raising the standard to the point where we are beating better sides in Europe rather than being in and out of a championship club, for now at least.

There's a number of examples of players lighting up the league here (Maguire, Forrester and Towell the obvious ones) and they don't really reach the levels that were expected when they go to England (or back to England).

Wouldn't begrudge him a move to a decent club and more money, but happy if he is not rushing out of the league too.

You’re dead right! Randolph is another one who wouldn’t have done anything last night and yet he gets caps ahead of Jack Byrne! Where’s Joe Duffy’s number and my nipple clamps?

Plenty of talk of him moving on this window.
He was excellent last night, if he could hit that level consistently he’d be some player

Byrne usually starts very brightly for his clubs before seemingly losing his motivation, there's a bit to go yet before he proves his consistency.

Some turn for the goal and finish. His passing is top class. Deffo Irish caps in him. Kenny will utilise him no doubt .

And last week. His deliveries last week were class. On that sort of form id have no problem seeing him start in the green.

Hes been fcking quality over the 2 games against Brann so far. Some finish tonight. Hes ran these two games. He should be backin the next Ireland squad but he prob wont. You could see thw likes of Brann or any furure Rovers opponents come sniffing around him.

Jack Byrne putting in an incredible performance tonight in Europa League for Rovers. His passing is flawless so far and has just scored a brilliant, hugely important goal.
Geremi has let Kilbane in here, cross comes out to Holland, 1:1!!

Which is a completely different thing altogether. And like I said, I hope he can back it up.
