Its a parting gift to Moyes to show that the issue was there before Moyes took charge and that it is not due to Moyes taking charge.

It won't be his problem.

It's not really that mad. Rooneys agent would have it in the papers and leaked to potential clubs very soon anyway. Ferguson has got the first stab in first saying he won't be let go. Therefore driving up his price. It's all business.
Just because I'm paranoid doesn't mean they aren't out to get me...

Ferguson never says anything without a reason. It was done to benefit the club.

How many times per year do non executive directors meet baldy?
It took City 44 years to win the league and 10 months to lose it

I believe he said 6.

And apparently they aren't allowed mobile phones, or communicate in any other way with any other person at Old Trafford in between those solitary 6 meetings.

Cole,Ferdinand,Berbatov for starters if I'm not mistaken. Veron and Yorke could be another two but I'm not sure.

Did City not sign Robinho before United signed Berbatov though?

Cantona couldn't have been a transfer record, was he not 1m or 1.5m or something?
