That is all for now.
For someone that got the run of the ball in this final i don't think he'll be too concerned.

Sickening what's happening!

Selby did get the run of the ball but fair play to Ding for making a fight of it,really hoped he would get a bit closer, the wait goes on for an Asian champion, what a night for Selby-The Jester from Leicester!
Nathan Collins - The best Kildare baller since Johnny Doyle!

Congrats to Selby.

Hopefully Ding will win it at some stage in his career.

The final kind of fizzled out in the end after promising more at a few points. Ding seemed to pull within a frame of him about three times before going on to lose the next two subsequent frames every time. Must have been frustrating for him. He's a quality break-builder though and seems to be a more resilient individual these days - he'll be back again in the mix next year no doubt.

I wouldn't be so sure.

Selby was there for the taking, missing chance after chance, and Ding couldn't put him away. Ding's disastrous start didn't help but after getting back into it he lost several key frames he could or should have won.

Yeah that's true - he did lose a few critical frames from a position of strength. I'd give credit to Selby on some of those however. Selby is a serious grinder when he needs to be and has a tendency to hang on for dear life in frames where he looks in a lot of trouble. Maybe there's just something in the water in Leicester these days.

I just think Ding doesn't look as brittle generally as he has done in previous World Championships.

Young fella he was playing was like a rabbit in the headlights though, Ronnie was well short of his best.

This is magnificent.

If you're not watching BBC2 (or Eurosport) right now, you are nothing.

Selby has now beaten Ronnie in the final of each triple crown.

In overall finals he leads 5-3 which is impressive. Once Ronnie gets to a final he normally wins.

The Masters
Ronnie leads 2-1

UK Championship
1-0 Selby

World Championship
1-0 Selby

He should dominate for the next few years.

Though not snooker, anyone else been following the Mosconi Cup, loving the more relaxed attitude to the crowds shouting etc during shots but know the Yanks have been getting gradually more sh*te every year this year they've been especially bad, just hoping they put up some fight so this continues for a while yet or be some craic if they did a miracle of meydina style come back

Another Masters for Ronnie - 7 in total and nobody has won more (Hendry has 6 and the next best is 3).

He needs another World Championship to be considered the best.
For me Hendry is still the best ever.

WC qualifiers, last round. Tis live on Eurosport player & FB live on the world snooker page.

Fergal O'Brien is 9-9 Vs David Gilbert (first to 10)

The frame score is 57-46 to O'Brien, there are 5 balls left on the table, and none of them are on their spots. The frame is seemingly already the longest ever played in the modern professional game (or maybe since Eddie Charlton retired) , without looking, there is actually a fair chance Fergal was involved in the previous longest frame too......

Picked the wrong week to quit sniffing glue.....
