A lot of people here are only dismissing his ability because he played for Rangers. Ermm

The goal was over rated I read on here a few days ago Confused
Christ Embarrassed

It was overrated.  Bounced up lovely teed up for him to lob it over Hendry and then the finish while very good is not something you would swoon over that no other player could do.

Technically it was good but nothing extraordinary.  The best part of the goal was probably having the idea to do it.

You are right its not the technique that really makes the goal stand . Its the way he did it . He had very little time to way up the situation and do it . It's was good old street football constantly  thinking ahead outwitting the opposition which you see very little of nowadays .

The only footballer I can think of with any of that street football or flair in the premier league today is James Madision, he is very unpredictable . People talk about the technically brilliance of those man city players but they play like computerized robots .

Though I support spurs and saw him mostly single handedly  get them to a cup final he would gave being far better off signing for Fergie ,he had massive talent that was never fully utilised .Also if he only     had a brain in his head  it would have made a huge difference .

Unbelievable LOL

Modern day football fans are obsessed with stats! Absolute weirdos.

But weird lads born after they were able to see him making claims like that based on stats and some YouTube footage  alright. He was amongst best playes in the world for quite some time. Most people back then would have said say he was the best player in the worl at the time.

Also nonsense to compare players from different eras and write one off based on it. Seamus Coleman isn't overrated because he wasn't as good as Paul McGrath.

Nonsense, he had the ability to be the best midfielder in the world of the ninties . He was a much more reliable player than Zidane and actually defended .

Zidane is the most overrated player in history . He excelled at international level but for a no 10 he scored very few goals and didn't have many assists.

Matheus and Platini were are far better players and their stats will show you that.
