Dee Walsh wasnt on the bill afterall

The Odyssey was half empty , no atmosphere whatsoever , Fury looked really good until around the 6th round then Johnson stopped fighting. Eubank jr looks the real deal and Gerard Healy was robbed for his fight , boxing can be very odd at times.

If that fat prick Hennessesy still wants to base Fury here then he should have him fighting out of the Kings Hall NOT the odyssey , im sure it looked embarrassing at home seeing a half empty arena.

Hennessey is a fat twat, hundreds refused to go last nite as a result of the treatment of Dee Walsh.
I doubt Hennessey will want to be be back in Belfast for shows actually.

Not sure if this has been recommended already, but 'The Fight of Their Lives' is a must-watch.
'Considered by many to be the greatest world title fight ever seen in Britain, Nigel Benn versus the American Gerald McClellan ended in such tragic circumstances it has never been broadcast since.

Now, 16 years later, ITV has unlocked its archive to allow the incredible story of that savage night to be told in full.

Nigel Benn, a British paratrooper turned world class fighter, faced America’s rising star Gerald McClellan, one of the hardest punchers in boxing history.

Their lives – and those of many others involved that night - would be changed forever.

A brutal, controversial fight would leave one man mentally scarred, the other seriously injured and the Benn and McClellan camps at war for more than a decade.

Featuring fresh allegations, further twists and the emotional reunion of the two fighters after years of bitterness, The Fight of Their Lives is an unforgettable story that stretches far beyond the ropes of the boxing ring'

Belfasts very own Brian Magee defends his world title in Denmark v Michael Kessler later.

Ive briefly met Magee and he is an absolute gent , Andre Ward has to face the winner and Magee v Ward in the Belfast Odyssey in the summer would be the biggest boxing night in decades to hit Ireland.

Ward is my P4P #1

Its live on SkySports Later after  Barker v Hope & O'Kane v another unbeaten decent prospect.

It would be an ideal first fight away from the US for Ward , Magee hasnt fought in Belfast in nearly 10years

but why would Ward bother fighting away from the US he doesnt have anything to gain from going away?
Would be great to see it happen tho.

He has been ordered to fight the winner of Magee/Kessler or give up his belt.

@Rossieman, if Ward will have to fight the winner as the lads say then the fight will be auctioned to the highest bidding promoter(excuse for the governing body to get a payday) who can decide where to have it and then its the job of the fighters own promoters to get a location sorted(usually one of their promoters will snap up the rights anyway so that they can choose location). Pretty certain thats how it works in case's like this
