A one point win would have been fair enough for Benn.

McCaskill is tough as they come, causing Taylor some problems with the aggressive style.

My first trip to London's home of boxing last night (Can't believe I haven't been there before).
A brilliant spot to watch a flight - Old skool feel and really close to the action no matter where you are.

Benn's fight was defo fight of the night - a proper ding-dong battle. Will defo need to improve his defence moving forward. He looked very raw for somebody who has had 10 fights.

Was impressed with Martin Ward and Josh Kelly.

Thought Katie did all she had to - Was obviously faster on her feet and technically better but allowed herself to get drawn into a brawl a few times and get tagged. That MacCaskill could give and take a punch. Her trainer was a bit of an arse though, chatting sh*te from the corner during the rounds.
Would imagine Taylor will need to improve if/when she takes on the Belgian girl who holds the WBC title but job done last night !

She needs to mix up her punches when she's coming forward. It's always the same 4 or 5 straight punches as fast as she can, which works against lesser class opponents, but against someone like McCaskill who crowded her constantly and smothered her shots, she needs to vary the punches.

Thought the ref was awful. The point deduction was an awful decision considering McCaskill didn't get a single warning for all her holding and constant low head.

Totally agree on that. He's experienced enough and should know better
The mad thing is, with the York Hall being so small he probably heard me and my mate telling him he was a joke !

It almost seemed like he did that to make the fight a little more interesting. It was total nonsense.
