I reckon Hogans in and out style will cause Tim all sorts of problems. Tzyu looks powerful but will he catch Hogan ?

Over in five. Only gave Hogan the second. Outclassed. Don't blame the corner throwing towel in despite it being only 30 seconds left. Those body shots are a killer. Tszyu looks a real prospect, has it in the blood.

That was the longest undercard I can remember.
Tszyu is the spits of his old man. Such a shame that Hogan's last couple of fights have gone the way they have considering how robbed he was against Munguia.

Yeah, it's a shame as he was totally ripped off then but that's two heavy defeats now where he's taken a lot of punishment.

Agree. Any slim chances of getting back to world level are gone now unfortunately.

So many parallels with McGuigan's career, the early glory, the split with what seemed really close management, the bitter court case and the late fights where they looked shadows of themselves.

True. Fair play to Frampton, he's a good lad and his wife has been on at him for a while to pack it in while he's still healthy, which he now has done so he can enjoy life and have the kudos of the glory days. Hardest thing usually for a boxer is to know when to quit. Those that do tend to live a lot longer.

Looking back on last night. Carl couldn't get by Herring's jab at all and it was really just a step too far to go up to super feather. Even if Herring is the most favourable of champs at that weight.
Herring's phsyicality completly shocked Frampton, I think Frampton was looking at how Canelo had beaten taller fighters in Smith, Kovalev, and believed he could replicate that gameplan. Herring didn't do too much wrong in his performace. Also didn't get phased after a nasty cut to the eye. Not sure if Frampton had bulked up too much or whether he has just lost too much sharpiness due to inactivity and age. But he looked miles off it. Timing looked incredibly off. When he finally got a rhythm 4/5 rounds in. He got knocked down by a jab. Herring landed a lovely uppercut and Frampton was on his last legs from that point on. Disappointing in the way it has ended up for Frampton. From the split with mcguigan, the court case, signing with MTK to fights behind closed doors in Dubai and not getting a final send off fight in Belfast. I think Carl will be happy to leave the boxing business behind.

Tyson Fury believes a much-anticipated heavyweight bout with Anthony Joshua will "100% happen" and that a date and venue will be known in the coming days.
Hopefully this happens soon.

The fella who made the Maradona and Senna documentaries is making one on the Four Kings era of boxing, starting on 6th June. It'll be a 4-parter.

Katie Taylor beat Natasha Jonas on points last night, likewise Joseph Parker edges Derrick Chisora. James Tennyson suffered a first round knockout earlier in the week.
