Always going to happen regardless of these signings. Now it's just about how high they will finish.

I wouldn't be so sure that Zabaleta has much more to offer at this level. As for Hart, he needs to regain confidence as it seems to have gone since the Euros.

Arnautovic and Hernandez will be good signings

he only managed 37 in 4 seasons in the EPL with United ....when he was  younger and faster with better players around him ..

They will be doing well to get 10 goals out of him this season , which is why he is worth about 16m but no more ....I hear he's on a good wage and managed to wangle a 3 year contract ....thats why he went to West Ham ...for a player like this getting to 32 years of age on 140k per week is good work if you can get it

Yeah was thinking a bigger club would have been all over him. I guess from his point of view, if he scores 20 goals this season, he'll be off in the summer.

Everton need a striker, maybe Koeman is looking for a specific type???

But how many minutes did he play he came off the bench a lot.

His overall record for Man U is played 157 scored 59 that's 1 in 3 ratio again how much of that was coming off the bench in the last 20 minutes when they were chasing goals.

His two seasons in the Bundesliga he scored 28 in 54 that's 1 in 2.

If given the service he will score 15-20

I hope Hernandez is a success at WHU  though i would be a bit concerned with his poor form at Leverkusen at the back end of the season.

When you saw a young Hernandez signing for two huge clubs like Man U or Real Madrid, you'd have had to think he could be top class. But although he did OK there, in the end Man U didn't keep him and Real didn't sign him permanently either.

Now after four years with a mid table German side, he's signing for a mid-table English one, and for a "mid-table" fee at that, when he's just turned 29 i.e. when he should be at his peak.

If WHU get 15 League goals a season out of him they'll be doing well for their money.

Fair points. Some people maybe going over the top about this signing

He spent two years with Leverkusen, where they finished 3rd and then 12th that was the first time since 2008/09 that they finished outside the top 5 hardly mid table.

His release clause was 16m, set probably by him

Zabaleta has been doing well in pre-season, while a fully confident Hart will be a major signing. Arnautovic and Hernandez are really exciting signings. This summer has been excellent in terms of the squad reconstruction.

4 signings that will be straight into the first XI.

Most clubs would take that

Hernandez got 17 league goals in his first season with Leverkusen (from only 28 games). That was his best season in European football (as in domestic, I mean, compared to his time in Mexico). He got 11 from 26 last year, which is admittedly a bit of a drop off.

The last time West Ham had a player get double figures in the league was 2012-13 (Kevin Nolan got exactly 10).

The last time they had someone score 15 in the top flight in a single season was 1999-2000 when Paolo di Canio got 15, so if they get 15 from Hernandez, they'll be more than happy.

The last time they had anyone score 17 in the top flight was thirty years ago.

If he scores double figures, he'll have been a decent signing. If he scores 15, he'll have been a good signing. If he gets 17, he'll have been an excellent signing.

It's not an exaggeration to say he could be a magnificent signing for a club of their stature.

What will he be if he gets 14? Or 16? 11?
