Hi, apologies for making my first post a noob question about openboxes but I'm in dire need of advice.
Just bought an Openbox V8 on a whim, thinking that setting it up to receive Sky Sports, BT et al would be a piece of cake. Had seen guides online and presumed I'd just be able to follow those. However, what I didn't realise is that I'd have to get a c-line, n-line before I could get it up and running? Is this correct? Does anyone know of any reputable sellers (I appreciate that you may not be able to post them in here)? Is there a way of getting these channels without the c-lines, and if not, is it straightforward enough getting set up once I have one? FYI, I'm using my box solely off the internet and won't be connecting to any satellites or antennae. Any advice or guidance would be greatly appreciated.

You wil need to connect it to a sky dish. No point in guying a sub (c line / n line) otherwise, you be just throwing your money down the drain.
What you need is an android box, they dont require a dish |

But are not designed for Live TV and wouldn't be as reliable as an Open or Dream Box, I'd consider getting a dish installed I know a bloke that put mine mine up for about 150 including the dish, bargain you'll save thousands if you get a box and dish installed .

Think I'm just gonna send it back tbh, bitten off more than I can chew here, hadn't realised how difficult the boxes are to set up.

I got mine sent over from Germany and paid a fair bit less than what it's going for here. Probably still a bit over priced think it cost me €285. There is a flawless build of KODI for it which is very handy. |
