Subarra was very good and if anything better than the original film. Unlike Gomorrah where the film was far superior to the tv series, as good as the tv series was. Gomorrah the film far less stylised as the tv series, more raw and showed you lots of different aspects not mentioned in the tv series.

White House Farm. Pretty good i have to say (i didn't know the story before hand), nearly at the end, the son has the most punchable face what a gimp but very well played by the actor. Stephen Graham is pretty good too even in his half scouse half Welsh accent.

Yeah. There are a few "ah here" moments but overall I really enjoyed it. As always Cranston is very good.

Agreed, love to punch the head off him.

Didnt know who it was about when I started watching it but as soon as I heard his name I remembered the story from the time and what he did.

Lost interest after two episodes but kept going until the end of episode 3. They could have done in 90 minutes. That Fox lad is an awful actor and the hair on him is hilarious.
A very poor effort at an interesting story, albeit very funny in places.

Thought it was very good White House Farm apart from the last episode which was a bit weak

Was Jeremy bisexual? Seemed to be the way he was carrying on with his friend from Australia. Maybe just dramatized for the show.

They could have done it in two episodes. They love to drag the arse out of everything now.

disagree with that, just going on to the last episode and think it’s excellent

yeah I think it’s well done and considering the lack of suspense in the plot line they really do build it up which is pretty tricky for a true life drama that doesn’t have some serious mad plot twist and you can’t play with the same you would fiction.

That is certainly a major difficulty alright, but it all feels like it is trying to be Fargo and I think that is fairly disrespectful when it is based on a true story. It also doesn't excuse the acting. Michael Portillo being the dad was a great twist though.LOL

the father of the two boys was on tv last year when it was released on ITV and I think he was happy with the depiction as far as I could make out.

Always remember this was made for prime time ITV 9pm 1 hour slots not for Netflix

I fail to see how what television station it was made for makes it better? Should we be more appreciative because they normally churn out absolute bollocks?

I guess the humour is introduced to try and highlight the ineptitude of the police, but it's the parts that don't seem to be trying to be humorous that end up being funny.

I wasn’t suggesting that it made it better I was suggesting that there are different constraints by the fact that it is is prime time ITV as opposed to straight to Netflix.

You can see the different in tv shows that are made for prime
Time tv that will hit middle England and those that are straight to netlflix and appeal to a different generation etc.  this is a cross over and it’s trying to appeal to both and as a result there are tensions and constraints with it those factors and I think they have done a good job considering that.
